Have you ever wanted to go to a different place and help others and share Jesus with them? I have wanted to for a long time and it is finally working out for me to go. I will be traveling to Guatemala later this summer and I am so excited about what God has set up for me. You see back in 2018 or 2019 I can exactly remember that far back lol, but I was suppose to have gone to Haiti for the first time. Well that didn’t work out because of the danger there and its only gotten worse. We need to all pray for the people that things start to change for the good. I believe that trip didn’t work out for me because God didn’t want me to go then and that I need to wait. So that’s what I did! It has been many years later and I am finally planning and going on one.
A couple of months ago I was praying and talking to God about going on a mission trip. While I was doing that all of a sudden I herd go to Guatemala and then I herd you will be there for a month. I was completely shocked by that as you can imagine because I have never been on any trip like this before and never even out of the country. That was God speaking to me!! At first I was a little unsure, but I think God was actually testing me to see if I would listen and follow what he said. So that night I researched a lot of different options, but I couldn’t find any that matched what I needed. Then I found a company that sets up volunteer trips for you all over the world. I began putting in my information and they had exactly what I needed! As I was doing that I read that you had to be excepted in to the program. I started thinking what if I’m not excepted in, what will I do next. To be completely honest I didn’t have a different plan, I just trusted God that it would work out and it did because they excepted me. I took that as a sign this is the one I’m supposed to go with. They are not a Christian company, but for some reason I feel God leading me to this one and it also gives me a chance to share Jesus’s love to others around me. I don’t believe you have to always go on a mission trip with just other Christians or Christian groups. There are so many ways to share God with others.
Another reason I feel this is the right one is because I asked God to give me conformation about this trip. Which he did and I just felt at peace. Even though I have never been out of the county and never even traveled by myself before I don’t really feel scared or anxious because I know God is with me and is making the path for me. I am so excited to share Gods love with anyone that will listen!
If you feel and hear God calling you to go on a mission trip just go. If its from God he will have it all worked out for you.
