My First Week in Guatemala

I have been on my trip for almost a week, so far it has been a great experience. I will be here for five more weeks and am so excited to see what God has in store for me. As I’m writing this I am thinking back over the week about how fun it has been, meeting all the new people that I am staying with, and most importantly being able to show Gods love to others., especially the children that I get to work with everyday.

The children that I have been working with are disabled. Some of them have Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and some just ADHD. They can be a challenge sometimes with wondering off, not wanting to listen , or either they just want to lay in the floor, but even with all of that they are still such a joy to be with and to help in there class.

I also found a church here that has an English service which was amazing. It’s called Shoreline City, they have many different churches in other areas and their main church is in Dallas Texas. They just started a new lesson on relationships which was also amazing. They spoke about how if your not going in the same direction as the person in that relationship the relationship will never workout and the direction you want to go should be towards God. Anyway it was an incredible service and I could really feel the Holy Spirit in that building through their worship music and the people there.

Over all so far I have been having an amazing time with all the new people and city to explore. I hope to continue to learn and grow more with God here and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me through the rest of my trip and after.

I hope you all are having a great week and letting God guide you where he wants you to be because he knows what is best for you, even if it is crazy. 😜
